Put length, weight and maximum load together.
Read more ↗A matching color or a familiar model name is not enough to establish part compatibility. Gather the model details first, then compare the fitting and ask for confirmation before ordering.
Keep every suffix, not just the series. Argo 100X and Argo 100X EXO have different reference equipment. Catch Classic, Catch Mode and Catch HDII are separate configurations. A receipt, original label or model page can help establish what was supplied.
The profiles on this site identify a reference SKU. Use that as a comparison aid, not proof that a similarly colored kayak is the same configuration. A seat or storage bag may also have been changed by a previous owner.
The manufacturer identifies the outside right-hand rear of the hull—the starboard stern—as the main place to look for the kayak serial number. Photograph the marking clearly and copy it carefully for a support request.
A hull identification number and a product SKU serve different purposes. Keep both when available. Do not publish an unneeded receipt or personal details just to show a model label; send relevant information through the manufacturer’s support channel.
Take one picture showing where the part sits and a second close-up showing its connection. For a loose part, photograph both sides. Put a ruler beside it when dimensions are relevant, without covering the shape or markings.
A request such as “a seat for a blue Pelican” leaves too many possibilities. A more useful description is the complete model name, the hull identification number, the fitting that failed and photographs of the mounting points. Keep the request factual; do not guess at compatibility from appearance.
Start with the Pelican parts collection and the manufacturer’s model-specific parts lookup linked from its FAQ. If the fit is unclear, send the details to Confluence Outdoor support. Older parts may no longer be available.
For a possible warranty issue, consult the current warranty information before changing the fitting or hull. Do not assume a generic accessory description establishes compatibility with a drive, rudder or structural attachment.
Keep the reply and confirmed part number with the kayak’s records. It makes a later replacement less dependent on memory or a changing online listing.
